One of the hardest things to achieve with paint is a smooth blend, and it doesn’t get any easier when you’re working with a paint that has the tendency to lift back up off the page after it dries. While we work on “Float” – a painting with a large smooth gradient over the entire background – I’m going to tell you how I achieved that smooth gradient.
